This systematic literature review aims to synthesize current research on digital transformation in the management of Islamic Educational Institutions (IEIs), with a specific focus on strategies, challenges, and emerging opportunities in the Society 5.0 era. The study employed the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, guided by the PRISMA protocol. Data were collected from academic databases, including Google Scholar, SINTA, and Garuda, using targeted keyword combinations related to digital transformation and Islamic education management. A total of 15 relevant articles published between 2020 and 2025 were selected for thematic analysis. The findings reveal that digital transformation in IEIs constitutes a complex socio-techno-spiritual process. The analysis identified a hierarchical framework for strategic implementation, evolving from basic infrastructure development to advanced integration of data analytics and spiritual-digital leadership models. A central finding is the identification of an interconnected cycle of key challenges, encompassing structural barriers (infrastructure, funding), capability gaps (educators' digital literacy), and cultural resistance. Simultaneously, the review highlights significant opportunities, such as enhanced administrative efficiency, the potential for personalized learning pathways, and the expanded reach of Islamic education. A prominent gap in the existing literature is the scarcity of longitudinal and quantitative studies measuring the tangible impact of specific digital interventions on institutional outcomes.
