Indonesian language instruction at the elementary level is often perceived as unengaging due to monotonous teaching methods that fail to actively involve students, resulting in low learning outcomes. This challenge is particularly relevant within the framework of Islamic education, which emphasizes a joyful learning environment (at-ta'lim al-mutafarrij), in accordance with the child's natural disposition (fitrah) and the Prophetic tradition. This study examines the effect of the Fun Learning method, which integrates ice-breaking, educational games (al-la'b at-ta'limi), and singing on the Indonesian language learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Rimo Aceh Singkil. Employing a quantitative approach with a True Experimental Design, specifically a pretest-posttest control group design, the study sampled fourth-grade students, with class IV A as the control group and class IV B as the experimental group. Data were collected using a learning outcome test. The results showed a significance value from the independent sample t-test of 0.001 (< 0.05), leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho). Therefore, it can be concluded that the Fun Learning method has a significant effect on improving student learning outcomes in Indonesian language at SDN 1 Rimo Aceh Singkil.
