Abstract

The digital era has transformed the social and psychological landscape of learners, giving rise to Generation Z and Generation Alpha as digital natives. Unrestricted access to information brings significant moral disruptions, such as the degradation of communication etiquette, device addiction, cyberbullying, and exposure to destructive content that erodes noble character. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the root multidimensional challenges in shaping the character (akhlak) of the digital generation and formulate integrative, applicable, and sustainable handling strategies. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative based on library research with content analysis techniques. Data were collected from reputable scientific literature, classic and contemporary textbooks, and relevant policy documents, analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal four determinant challenges: reduced parental supervision in family upbringing, dominance of addictive social media algorithms fostering narcissism, toxic disinhibition effects due to cyber anonymity illusions, and limited spiritually-grounded digital literacy. Handling strategies demand the reconstruction of the educational ecosystem through the revitalization of the Tri Sentra Education framework, character value internalization via digital role modeling, techno-spiritual digital literacy curricula (qaulan sadida, qaulan ma'rufa, qaulan layyina), and netiquette habituation across formal and informal environments
